QUALITY OF TRANSLATION
Subjectively, quality can be reduced to 2 words: customer satisfaction. It is possible to say that customer satisfaction is principally related to the purpose of the translation, in other
words, what objective client think the translated materials
contribute to. We must never forget subjective side of quality,
but there are also some objective language quality elements
which are thought to generally serve clients satisfaction such as accuracy, fluency and consistency - in style terminology and formatting.
Language accuracy is one of the most significant language quality standards. Target language must be in compliance with
grammar, syntax, semantics, correct spelling and punctuation
rules.
Fluency is a result of language standards, but mastery of
translator is also important.
Modern CAT Tools technologies help a lot to meet consistency
and terminology standards as well as completeness. Adherence
to deadline is a matter of project management.

QUALITY OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Translation quality also depends on the application of an
efficient and self-proven project management. QA Procedure is
not limited to re-reading translated texts, but also includes some practices before, during and after the translation.
To meet objective quality standards for customer satisfaction, we select the most appropriate translator(s) with regard to specific nature of your project, keeping in mind that this is not enough.
We divide the process into 3 steps: translation, independent
editing and proofreading. Sometimes, 2nd and 3rd steps may be combined. Evidently, independent editing and proofreading has critical role in establishing objective quality standards.
For now, our translation services are mostly "into Turkish". In this respect, we always assign native Turkish translators, editors and proofreaders. In case of "out of Turkish" translation projects, we
utilize native professionals of target languages, particularly in
editing and proofreading steps.
Other than very extreme conditions, we take these steps as indivisible. In other words, who starts job must finish job. Additionally, for continuous projects, we always reserve back-up translators.
As a part of project management, we provide appropriate instructions, style guide to translator, editor and proofreader
to help them not to miss any necessary objective quality
element.
