Mr. Guvenc graduated from Marmara University, Department of Economics in 1991. He worked for Vehbi Koc American Hospital, WestLB AG and Turkish Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in financial and reporting departments. He entered into Turkish translation market as a professional Turkish - English sworn legal/finance translator and project manager. In 2002, he established Alafranga Translation Services Ltd. with Mrs. Pinar Baskaya. He has made a considerable contribution towards building-up of a company where project managers, in-house editors, freelancers, HR specialist, finance specialist and IT specialist work together in harmony to meet high international expectations.

Mrs. Haksever graduated from, Tokyo Woman’s Christian University, Department of American & English Literature in 1981, and received Master of Science in Translation in Business & Management Translation via distant learning at Babel University (USA), Professional School of Translation in 2005. After graduating from university, she worked in a Japanese trading company as sales assistant and in an American financial institution as secretary to vice president, both located in Tokyo, Japan. After her marriage to a Turkish citizen, she moved to Istanbul in 1992. She started Japanese, English and Turkish translations in 1999.

Mrs. Gonulsuz Guvenc graduated from the Department of History, Middle East Technical University in 1995. She completed her MA in History at Bosporus University in 1998. She worked as researcher for the History Foundation’s “Selanik/Interbank Project" between 1998 and 1999; as publisher for the Board of Writers of AnaBritannica of Ana Publication House, as researcher, translator and proof-reader for the Turkish edition of Encyclopedia Britannica between 1999 and 2001; as proof-reader and writer for the Board of Publication of Temel Britannica between 2001 and 2002; as the general manager for Istanbul Art Museum Foundation between 2003 and 2004. In May 2004, she began to work for Alafranga Turkish Translations Ltd., a company she has supported since it was first established.
Mehmetcan KARSLI

Mr. Karsli graduated from Saint Benoit French Lyceum in 1996 and then from Yıldız Techical University, the Department of Translation and Interpreting. In the following years, he worked for Promay Production as production assistant and dubbing translator (1993 to 1996); for the Discovery Channel as dubbing translator; for Gulen Insan Productions as executive producer (TV series, 16 episodes) (1996); for Klaket Productions as dubbing translator for the Discovery Channel, the National Geographic and TRT (Turkish National Television) (2000); Mirai Interactive as the head of web design project 2001; Group SMG as partner and technical project and dubbing translation coordinator (2002 to 2004). During this period, he was particularly involved in wide range of translation and localization projects for local and international companies.

Ilke SATIROGLU

Ms. Satiroglu was born in Istanbul. She graduated from, the University of Istanbul, department of Russian Language and Literature in 2005. After working as freelance English/Russian to Turkish translator, she joined the Alafranga team in 2006. Since then, she has been dealing with daily operations, particularly project management. She has been coordinating complex projects that we receive from international organizations and large localization companies. She has a well command of essential CAT Tools. She also acts as a trainer and, introduces and teaches CAT Tools to our freelance collaborators.

Ms. Luise Oerser was born in Germany. She completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Germany. She has graduated from Hacettepe University, the Department of Math Teaching, receiving the highest degree achieved by a graduate. Since 1989, she has been involved in numerous projects as German Turkish translator, editor, proof-reader and project manager. She is fully literate in Trados and Star Transit translation programmes.

Mr. Ozmaya had a special interest in computers since his early childhood. He wrote his first codes with C64.
